Beautiful Early 20th Century Shahsavan Kilim Runner

An incredible early 20th Century Persian Shahsavan Kilim runner with multiple crimson, indigo and gold diamond shaped medallions running down the center. The border is interesting in that it’s pulled away from the actual border of the rug. It’s comprised of a wide white field with crimson and gold leaves and vines, flanked by similar crimson wave bands. The overall effect give the illusion that the central medallions and border are floating a large field of natural, undyed, brown wool.
