Early 20th Century Kashan Prayer Rug

A superb early 20th Century Persian Kashan prayer rug with a skillfully woven design of a vase, immensely potted with myriad multicolored flowers, in the center of a deep indigo background. Surrounding the vase are real trees, dripping with multicolored flowers. The border is wide, with large-scale indigo, cream, mint and orange flowers, on a burnt-orange background.
