Extraordinary Early 20th Century Sumak Azeri Rug

A wonderful late 19th century Persian Sumak Azeri rug with four large medallions depicting stylized flowers, amidst a field of tightly woven goats, chickens, birds, and strangely enough, stop signs, all on an indigo border. The border contains a wide central stripe with chickens on a brown background flanked by two matching petite floral patterned stripes.
