Unbelievable Late 19th Century Sarouk Farahan Rug

An incredible 19th century Persian Sarouk Farahan rug with an unbelievably woven pattern with densely rendered myriad floral and vine patterns woven in rich crimson, indigo, yellow and natural undyed wool. The composition is asymmetrical, with one end of the diamond medallion being longer than the other. The border is exquisite and complex with a large-scale multicolored floral and vine pattern, flanked by six thin petite floral and vine patterned borders.
