Beautiful Early 20th Century Samarghand Rug

A beautiful early 20th century Central Asian Samarghand with a traditional all-over trellis pomegranate pattern woven in orange colored wool on a faded indigo ground. The border is wonderful with a stylized tree-of-life inner stripe and a wide outer stripe containing a bold turbulent cloud pattern.
