Bold Chinese Art Deco Rug

A bold early 20th Century Chinese Art Deco rug with a wonderful central indigo field surrounded by an inner thin gold strip, a wide fuchsia stripe and a thin outer indigo stripe border. Two ducks are playing in the water of the central indigo field, while flowering peony and cherry blossom branches overlay the border. Several scholars objects, including vases, scepters, and libation cups surround the field.
