Early 20th Century Gabbeh Rug

An incredible early 20th Century Persian Gabbeh rug woven in undyed natural brown and beige wool accented with a few indigo dyed stripes. The two bold geometric medallions, each with a diamond motif in the center, are surrounded by a field of stylized flowers. The medallions sit on a brown field of stylized flowers and berries. The border is wide, comprised of multiple contrasting geometric and floral patterns woven with complementary brown, beige and indigo wool.
