Early 20th Century Samarkand Rug (4’6″ x 9’2″)

A wonderful early 20th Century Central Asian Samarkand rug with an incredible asymmetrical large-scale floral medallion woven in crimson, violet, pink, black, and cream colored wool. The medallion lives amidst a crimson field with flowering branches surrounded by a boldly detailed border with scrolled vines and leaves woven in similarly colored wool.
