Early 20th Century Tabriz Rug

An early 20th Century Tabriz rug with a wonderful pattern of graduated diamond medallions, each woven with the same intricate trellis pattern of flowers, leaves and stylized fish, all in contrasting colors of crimson, indigo, and light pink. The border is wonderfully woven in complementary colors as the field, but in petite floral and leave patterns on either side of a large central border comprised of round flowers alternating between large and small leaves.
