An incredible 19th century Persian Sarouk Farahan rug with a wonderful and skillfully woven pattern. The medallion is intensely woven with light indigo, crimson, orange and natural wool colors on a black background resting on an intensely woven field of flowers and scrolling vines on a rich crimson background. The border is contrasting with a repeating stylized floral pattern on a black background.
