An extraordinary 19th century Persian Kermanshah rug with a large tightly woven eight-lobed floral medallion amidst a field of myriad varieties of flowers, all woven in the traditional pinks, lavenders, creams and yellows that the Kermanshah weavers are famous for. The border is extremely complex and wide. There is a wide central stripe woven with myriad flowering plants and trees, flanked by two narrow stripes, flanked by four more complementary floral and vine stripes.
