An extraordinary mid-20th Century Persian Heriz rug with a large central multi-lobed dark indigo floral medallion on a rich crimson background. The field is intensely woven with a complementary floral pattern. The border is comprised of a wide stylized floral pattern on a crimson background surrounded by two similar floral patterned borders.
