An outstanding and rare 19th century Persian Shirvan rug with an incredible large-scale floral and vine pattern, amidst a field of petite flowers and chickens, woven in crimson, gold, pink, orange, and white, on a gorgeous dark indigo background. The border is extraordinary, with a large-scale stylized floral and vine pattern woven in white wool, flanked by matching, but contrasting colored, petite floral and vine patterned stripes.
