A rare and gorgeous early 20th century Persian Heriz rug with an unusual pattern containing two different large-scale stylized flowers connected with scrolling vines and living amidst a field of densely woven stylized vines and flowers, and all woven in myriad colors including crimson, green, indigo, gold, and set against a dark indigo background. The border is outstanding with a repeated large-scale floral pattern flanked by petite floral patterned stripes.
