A late 19th century Chinese Peking rug with one large central floral medallion with four lotus blossoms woven in cream, gold, and light indigo, on a dark indigo field of flowers. The border is really well rendered with a stylized peony and scrolling vine pattern on a pale cream colored stripe, flanked by multiple thinner light and dark indigo stripes.
