An amazing 19th century Persian Serapi rug with a wonderfully bold large-scale tribal pattern with a central crimson lobed floral medallion with a light indigo, sage green, and natural wool colored accents, all on a rich dark indigo background, surrounded by a field of flowers in contrasting crimson, indigo, sage, and natural wool colors. The border is wide with two distinct patterns of large-scale flowers and scrolling vines with a central border on a crimson background surrounded by two indigo borders on either side.
