A wonderful early 20th century Persian Sarouk rug with a masterfully woven field of large trees-of-life and myriad floral varieties woven in dark and light indigo, crimson, and cream naturally dyed wool on a deep cranberry field. The border is wide with multiple patterned stripes. The central stripe contains large-scale flowers on a dark indigo background, flanked by multiple narrower borders with petite floral patterns, all woven in dark and light indigo, crimson, and cream naturally dyed wool.
