An early 20th century Chinese Art Deco rug with a violet central field surrounded by a wide brown border flanked by a thin inner indigo border, and a thin outer violet border, and with a large handing flower basket with myriad auspicious flowers including chrysanthemum, peonies, cherry blossoms, and lotus flowers, and all woven in varying shades of pinks, golds, light and dark indigo, and brown wool.
