A fantastic early 20th century Persian Heriz rug with a traditional pattern of three large geometric medallions on an elaborate field of stylized flowers, leaves, and twisting vines, all woven in crimson, light and dark indigo, white, gold, black vegetable dyed wool. The border is beautiful with a wide central stripe with a fantastic stylized tree-of-life pattern, flanked by thin geometric patterned stripes.
