A wonderfully bold early 20th century Persian Heriz rug with a large central multicolored medallion woven in richly saturated crimson, lime green, light and dark indigo, and white wool. The field is intensely woven with large and small scale flowers, leaves, and vines in complementary colors as the medallion. The border is wide with a beautiful pattern of bold multicolored flowers and scrolling vines framed on either side with two smaller floral borders.
