A beautiful early 20th-century Persian Qashqai runner, handwoven with six large diamond medallions, each filled with stylized flowers and floating within a lively crimson field scattered with even more blossoms—and, in true Qashqai fashion, a few charming goats. The border is richly layered, composed of three distinct stripes: one geometric, one floral, and one featuring a line of simplified paisleys. Qashqai rugs are woven by the Qashqai people, a nomadic tribal group in southwestern Iran, particularly around the Fars province.
