A breathtaking early 20th century Persian Sultanabad rug with a tree-of-life pattern containing a large central tree flanked by cascading willow branches, cypress trees, and myriad other floral forms. The border is one of the best we've seen in a long time, containing a repeated large-scale floral partner flanked by petite floral patterned stripes, and all woven in crimson, pink, cream, light and dark indigo, and amber colored wool.
