A wonderful early 20th century Persian Sarouk Farahan rug with a large central floral medallion with stylized flowers, leaves, and scrolling vines set amidst a field of more densely woven flowers and vines, all woven in light and dark indigo, pink, green, and gold. The border is extraordinary with large-scale stylized flowers and leaves woven in similar colors as the field and flanked by a pair o pf petite floral patterned stripes.
