An extraordinary late 19th century Lori Pambak, South Caucasus rug with a fantastically woven pattern consisting of two large diamond shaped medallions, and one central hexagonal medallion, each woven with beautiful large-scale stylized flowers woven in crimson, light and dark indigo and gold, amidst a field of more, smaller, stylized flowers on a crimson background. The border is wonderful with a wide stylized leaf pattern central stripe flanked by matching geometric stripes of contrasting colors.
