A gorgeous early 20th century Central Asian pictorial Khotan rug depicting a deer on a mountain with a crane perched in a twisted pine tree against a brilliant orange sky. The border is wonderful with a wide outer stripe containing a bat and Shou character pattern, both symbols of prosperity and good fortune, with a central Fu character (also symbolizing good fortune) patterned border and a Buddhist Meandering motif patterned stripe.
