A gorgeous early 20th century Turkish Sivas rug with a central diamond medallion created from an intensely woven pattern of myriad flowering branches and vines woven in light and dark indigo, pink, gold, and green vegetable dyed wool. The medallion lives amidst an equally intense field of similarly styled flowering vines. The border is wonderful with a wide central stripe containing a large-scale floral pattern flanked by multiple pairs of matching petite floral patterned stripes.
