An exceptional 19th century Persian Malaya rug with an intensely woven leaf, floral and vine pattern, woven in multicolored wool on an indigo background. The border is wide, composed of five bands. The central band is fantastic with a stylized floral and leaf pattern alternating between a geometric pattern, all on a wonderful orange background. Two smaller petite floral bands flank the larger band.
