A beautiful mid-20th century Persian Turkmen Asmalyk, a hand-woven wool textile used in wedding processions to cover the sides of a camel, and then ultimately used in the home. This Asmalyk features multiple stylized white floral medallions living amidst even more stylized flowers, and all surrounded by a repeated stylized floral pattern, and all woven in crimson, indigo, green, gold, and brown wool. A long fringe hangs on one side.
