A beautiful late 19th century Persian Bidjar rug with a wonderful, slightly geometric in design, pattern with flowering scrolling vines on a rich crimson background. The central eight-lobed medallion is woven with deep indigo wool, with alternating flowers and leaves on each petal. A small chicken is in the center of a crimson flower. The border is comprised of multiple distinct geometric floral and vine bands woven in complementary colors.
