A beautiful early 20th Century Persian Qazvin Kilim runner with an unusual tree-of-life pattern across the main field. Tree-of-life patterns are not uncommon with this style of rug, however, this depiction is rare. Most are elongated with easily distinguished bases, trunks, and branches. These motifs are rounder, like medallions, and woven in complimentary oranges, yellow, and creams. The border is also interesting, with a wide flowering vine motif in the center, flanked by two narrower stylized leaf and vine patterns.
