A bold early 20th century Persian Mahal rug with a large-scale mirrored floral and scrolling vine pattern woven in light and dark indigo, cream, pink, and brown colored vegetable dyed wool on a dark crimson background. The border is wonderful with a repeated leaf and stylized flower pattern woven in similar colors as the field.
