An extraordinary early 20th Century Caucasian rug with a fantastically woven pattern consisting of three large diamond shaped medallions, two with dark indigo backgrounds, and one with white, with multicolored flowers and birds, on a rich deep crimson background, amidst a field of geometric designed flowers. The border is complex with five distance patterns, all woven in varying shades of indigo, red, and green.
