Extraordinary Early 20th Century Kazak Rug

An extraordinary early 20th Century Azerbaijani Kazak rug of unusual color woven in beautiful crimson, gold, green, and pale indigo wool colors. The pattern contains a large central diamond medallion with stylized leaves and scrolling vines. The border is outstanding, with stylized flowers and several matching petite geometric patterned stripes.
