A brilliant early 20th Century Chinese Art Deco rug with a fantastic and bold gold central field, surrounded by a wide richly hued indigo border. A central circular medallion features two vases potted with auspicious flowering lotus and cherry blossoms. The border is rendered with myriad multicolored lotus, chrysanthemum, cherry blossoms, and peony blossoms, with butterflies and potted vases.
